Kultivimi i karrubes behet kryesisht ne Itali, ne zonen e Toskanes ku eshte natyralizuar. Kultivohet shume dhe ne Afriken e Veriut, Spanje, Portugali, Greqi e sic duket dhe ne Shqiperi.<\/p>\n

Pema e saj arrin ne lartesine deri 10 metra dhe ka nje kurore shume te gjere. Fruti duhet te kaloje gati nje vit per te arritur ne maturim, ka nje shije te embel, pulpa eshte e lengshme,farat shume te forta. Ato shpesh thahen ne peme dhe marrin nje ngjyre te erret, prodhimi i frutave per nje peme te vetme eshte shume i madh. Ka vlera shume te larta ushqyese aq sa popujt e antikitetit i kishin bere pjese te ushqimit te tyre te perditshem.<\/span><\/p>\n

Karruba ka nje kuader proteinik shume interesant.Ka perberje vitaminike te larte sidomos vitamina te grupit B qe ndihmojne funksionimin e melcise, favorizojne metabolizmin e karbohidrateve dhe sheqernave,si dhe vitamine C vitamine E, K e J.<\/p>\n

Karruba perdoret ne industrine ushqimore,kozmetike dhe farmaceutike.Caji qe behet nga fruti perdoret per te kuruar kollen,bronkitin dhe te ftohurin. Shurupi i karrubes eshte nje laksativ shume i mire.<\/p>\n

Karruba sidomos ne vitet 80 konsiderohej dhe perdorej si zevendesues i kakaos me ndryshim qe karruba nuk substanca psikoaktive prandaj keshillohet per ata qe per kete arsye nuk mund te hane cokollaten.
\nNga perpunimi i frutit marrim miellin e karrubes nga i cili mund te pergatiten biskota dhe embelsira te ndyshme. Nje avantazh i karrubes eshte mungesa e glutenit, qe do te thote se nenproduktet e saj jane nje alternative e shkelqyer per celiaket.<\/p>\n

Si zevendesues shume i mire i cokollates fale shijes se saj se embel e te kendshme, perben nje kompromis per ata qe duan te mbahen ne forme duke marre pak kalori e pak yndyra, pa hequr dore gjithsesi nga dicka e embel here pas here.
\nGjithashtu, e pasur me vlera ushqyese per shkak te permbajtjes se larte ne fibra rrit sensin e ngopjes. Per kete arsye marrja e saj eshte e keshillueshme ne dietat dobesuese.<\/p>\n

Gjithashtu duke qene pa kafeine dhe teobromine qe jane prezente te cokollata, mund te merret dhe nga persona qe vuajne nga alergjite apo intolerancat ndaj ketyre perbereseve.<\/p>\n

Shurupi i karrubes perdoret per te aromatizuar shume pjata dhe pije te ndryshme.
\nPa sheqer dhe konservante,i pasur ne kalcium eshte ideal si embelsues ne kos, qumesht, pije te ftohta, akullore, drithera mengjesi.<\/p>\n
